How it all began

It started with my uncle’s desktop computer and MS Paint — the fascination of filling a circle with color, and the relief of undo instead of a scrapped page. That curiosity followed me through Photoshop (via my brother’s photography studio), a design and media program, and internships at ad agencies, into my first job doing print, web, and iPad design — back when handoff meant manual slicing and hand-written specs.

Since then I’ve designed through the industry’s entire tooling shift: Sketch, InVision, Adobe XD, Figma, and now AI as part of the process itself. Twelve-plus years and half a dozen tools later, the fascination hasn’t changed.

In 2024, deep into fintech work, life had other plans — my wife was offered an opportunity in Sweden, and we packed up for a new adventure, our 4-year-old daughter included. I resigned from a role I loved to make it happen, and it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve made.
